The Nationals’ Member for Shepparton District, Kim O’Keeffe, is calling on locals to nominate dedicated individuals and organisations for the 2025 Multicultural Awards for Excellence.
Now in its 24th year, the Awards highlight the outstanding achievements of those who embrace diversity, foster cross-cultural understanding, and enrich the social fabric of our communities.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to bring together community leaders, policymakers, and members of the public to celebrate excellence in multicultural engagement, with winners to be honoured at a special ceremony later this year.
“We encourage community members, organizations, and leaders to nominate individuals or groups who have made significant contributions to multiculturalism. This is an opportunity to recognize the dedication, creativity, and positive impact of those shaping a more inclusive society.
In 2025, there are 14 award categories, including Arts, Business and Employment, Emergency Services, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Sport, Youth Leadership, the Multicultural Honour Roll, and the Premier’s Award for Community Harmony.
If you know someone making a difference, mentoring young people, being inclusive and supportive or breaking down barriers, nominate them to shine a light on their contribution and get the recognition they deserve.
Nominations close on 27 August 2025. For more information or to submit a nomination, visit https://multiculturalcommission.vic.gov.au/multicultural-awards-for-excellence
