The Nationals’ Member for Shepparton and Shadow Assistant Minister for Regional Multicultural Affairs, Kim O’Keeffe is encouraging local multicultural organisations to apply for the Multicultural Festivals and Events Grant Program.
The program offers funding up to $50,000 for local community organisations to hold cultural festivals and events. Applications for this round of the program are open until 23 October 2025.
Ms O’Keeffe said that the funding could make a significant difference for local organisations, particularly those needing extra support.
“Our local multicultural organisations are such a big part of our communities. They bring people together, celebrate culture and promote diversity.
“Our region is enriched by our multicultural communities and the contributions they make.
“This funding can go a long way in supporting many organisations to hold local events and celebrating culture.
“I encourage local multicultural organisations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity.”
