Community groups across the Greater Shepparton and Moira Shire regions now have the opportunity to apply for grants of up to $50,000 through Round 3 of the Victorian Government’s Tiny Towns Fund.
The program offers grants between $5,000 and $50,000 to support projects that boost tourism, enhance livability, and build community pride in towns with population under 5,000 residents.
The Nationals’ Member for Shepparton District, Kim O’Keeffe, said the funding presents an exciting opportunity for small towns to deliver local projects that make a real difference.
“This fund gives our smaller communities the chance to upgrade our much-loved facilities, from community halls and playgrounds to sporting club improvements and streetscape projects.
“These grants have already supported fantastic local initiatives across regional Victoria, and I encourage local groups in our district to put forward their ideas in this latest round,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
Applicants are required to contribute up to 20 per cent of the total project cost, which can include a mix of financial and in-kind support.
“It’s a great opportunity to bring forward community-led projects that strengthen local connections and pride in our towns.”
