The walls of Kim O’Keeffe’s office are covered with over 700 entrants of her Christmas Card competition.
The Nationals’ Member for Shepparton District, Kim O’Keeffe said that she was so delighted to receive many entrants from incredibly talented students from across the electorate, all of which have brought so much Christmas joy to her office.
“We have all the 700 entrants displayed on my office walls which has been enjoyed by many members of our community, truly bringing the magic of Christmas to life. It was such a joy to see the children immerse themselves in the Christmas spirit, sharing what Christmas means to them and each one telling a story.
“It was an incredibly difficult task for me and my staff to pick the winners as every single entry was very special and unique,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
There were two categories: Prep to Grade 3 and Grade 4 to Grade 6.
Artwork by four local students will feature on the front and back covers as well as 12 finalists will feature on the inside of each of the cards.
Thinula Wickramaraja of St Brendan’s Primary School in Shepparton was the winner of Prep to Grade 3 and Stella Simpkin of Mooroopna Primary School was winner of Grade 4 to Grade 6, with their drawings to feature on the front of the cards.
Runners up were Krishn Reebdeeya of St Brendan’s Primary School in Shepparton and Smith van Popering of Katandra West Primary School will feature on the back covers.
Prep to Grade 3 finalists who also featured in the cards include Jaxon, Amelia, Aleysha, Ella, Hallie and Roman.
Grade 4 to Grade 6 finalists who also featured in the cards include Madison, Anoop, Jordyn, Evie, Nate and Maya.
