Dear Editor,
Monday saw a number of wonderful local events take place right across the Shepparton District to commemorate Remembrance Day.
Remembrance Day, observed on the 11th of November each year right around Australia, provides not only an opportunity to mark the end of World War I, but to honour those who have served and continue to serve for our country.
There is no doubt that we would not be the country today without the sacrifices made in the past, present, and future that serve our nation within the Australian Defence Force.
It was great to see such a strong turn-out from the local community as we took the opportunity to pay our respects and reflect in a minute’s silence.
Lest we forget.
