A big congratulations to the Shepparton Harness Racing Club who held another hugely successful Pacing for Pink event earlier this month raising $38,000 in support of the McGrath Foundation.
Funds raised go directly toward Breast Care Nurses, who do an incredible job supporting their patients, and we are very fortunate to have a local Breast Care Nurse here in Shepparton.
More than 200 people attended the luncheon, with hundreds more trackside, including a very vibrant Fashions on the Field.
On the day, attendees were inspired by Michelle Honey and her mother, Pauline Baldi. Michelle and Pauline shared their personal journey, the challenge of being diagnosed with breast cancer, and undergoing treatment at the same time.
Their powerful message was a reminder for everyone to have regular health checks, a message that can, and does, save lives.
I look forward to an even bigger and better event next year.
