Country football and netball clubs can now apply for funding under the latest round of the Country Football and Netball Program.
Up to $250,000 is available per LGA, with clubs required to submit their proposals to their LGA for consideration.
Projects in Greater Shepparton and Moira must secure local funding to match Sport and Recreation Victoria funding at a 3:1 ratio.
Project types eligible for funding include:
- Change room, oval and court upgrades
- Sports lighting
- Energy and water efficiency initiatives that support increased participation
- Infrastructure on school land
- Projects that benefit multi use outcomes
The Nationals’ Member for Shepparton, Kim O’Keeffe, is urging local football netball clubs to put their projects forward for funding.
“This is a great opportunity for local clubs to tick off some big bucket list projects with the support of council,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
“There’s potential for large scale projects to be funded, projects that would ordinarily be out of the reach of many local clubs.
“A broad range of improvements could be funded with everything from change room upgrades to enhanced lighting eligible.
“Our local football netball clubs are so important to our region, and I urge them to put in an application for funding.”
Application close on 7 July, with successful applications announced from September 2025 onwards.
