Nationals Member for Shepparton District, Kim O’Keeffe, is encouraging not-for-profit organisations and community groups in the Shepparton District to apply for the 2024 Telstra Connected Communities Grant Program.
“This program aims to enhance the resilience, sustainability, and digital capability of Australia’s remote, rural, and regional communities through a funding pool of $600,000 over three years,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
With $200,000 allocated for the 2024 grant round, individual grants of up to $10,000 will be available to support projects that align with the program’s themes of building resilient, sustainable, and liveable communities.
“This is an opportunity for our local not-for-profits to secure funding that could impact the strength and connectivity of our communities,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
Applications for the grant are now open and close at 5pm on Wednesday March 27.
Successful applicants will be announced in June and will have 12 months to implement their funded projects.
“I strongly encourage all eligible groups within the Shepparton District to consider applying,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
